Smiles All Around

Christina is getting a lot bigger and she smiles a lot every day. We took Christina to meet Jeremiah’s grandmother (dad’s side) and his aunt (his dad’s brother’s wife) on Sunday February 27. We had a nice visit. Hopefully the next time his uncle will be home so he can meet Christina. My parents got her a bouncer and she seems to really like it. The other day she even smiled at the pooh bear toy on the bouncer. It was very cute! On another note, Jeremiah got me a couple of roses about a week ago…I thought that was very sweet of him!

Growing Stronger Each And Everyday

Christina went to her two month check up appointment on Wednesday February 9th. She had to get her shots and it was hard to see her cry, but she is a real trooper. She weighs 11 pounds and 1 ounce and is 23 inches long. The doctor said that she is growing well. Then on Saturday February 12th, we took Christina to see her great grandmother again and we had a great visit. We also took her to visit her great uncle and great aunt and it was also a nice visit.

Welcoming Christina Ann To The World

Christina was supposed to be due on Saturday December 11, but she still had not come yet and I ended up working on my due date. I was going to have another doctor appointment that coming Thursday but my water finally broke on Tuesday at 8 in the morning. Jeremiah had just left for work 10 minutes before and he had to turn right back around to take me to the hospital. I got there about 10 that morning and about 13 hours later I was finally ready for active labor, which lasted for four whole hours. Jeremiah and my mom stayed with me and my dad, Cindy, and Carah was in the waiting room. I didn’t get release from the hospital until that Friday and Christina got release the next day. She had to also get ivy’s put into her because we both got an infection during labor. Luckily she didn’t have a fever like I did. She got some pictures taken the day we left the hospital and they came out really good. Here is a link to her pictures. Other visitors that week included Perry, my grandmother and uncle, which was a great surprise for all of us that my grandmother got to come to see Christina. Also, the flowers from my work and Jeremiah’s work were very lovely.

For the first three weeks of her life Christina has already spent the night at my parent’s house and at Jeremiah’s parent’s house. She has gone to Jeremiah’s brother’s house for Christmas Eve and to my grandmother’s house on New Year’s Day. This year my parents came over for Christmas. Then they watched Christina that evening while we went back to Jeremiah’s brother’s house. It has been a good three weeks all but the getting not enough sleep part - I am sure that will work itself out over time.

Almost There

It was my grandmother’s birthday on October 23rd, but since I had to work I celebrated her birthday on the 17th instead. Then on the 18th, my mom, Jeremiah’s mom and I went shopping for the decorations for the baby’s room. It was my first time going to Babies R Us and BuyBuy Baby. We decided to go with butterflies and flowers with the main color being a mid/light purple. On the 26th, Jeremiah and I met our new niece (Mandy’s daughter) when she came to visit. Then on the 31st, the church directory came out that I have been working on for about a year and I think it turned out great! It was my birthday on November 1st and I celebrated it with my grandmother and mom. Then on the 7th, I went to Olive Gardens and had my pumpkin ice-cream cake with my parents and Jeremiah. We also celebrated with Jeremiah’s parents later that night. On the 16th, Jeremiah and I went to our last class about baby basics (fussy baby).Then on the 21st, my mom and I went to see Harry Potter and later that evening I went to Cracker Barrel with my dad and Jeremiah. My mom and I had gone Christmas shopping a couple of weeks ago and I got all that finished with including the wrapping. For Thanksgiving we went to Jeremiah’s brother’s house. We all went to Chili’s (including my parents and Jeremiah’s parents) on Saturday the 27th. Oh and I did get through Back Friday this year! I found out today (the 30th) that I am now 1 to 2 cm. dilated.

What Has Been Going On In My Life

September 18 – My dad, Jeremiah, and I went to the Holland Fest. It was our baby’s second concert in the womb (March was her very first Naked show even if I didn’t know then that she was there yet). It was a fun show. I was only able to stay for their first set, but it was good to see everyone again!

September 25 – Jeremiah and I went to our first baby class about breast feeding. It was three hours long and I learned quite a lot.

October 1 – It was our one year anniversary. I had to work that day, but it was still a nice one. It has been a great year and I am looking forward to many more years with Jeremiah.

October 9 – Jeremiah and I went to our second baby class. It lasted all day and it had to do with the labor and breathing techniques. They gave us a nice lullaby CD that the baby can listen to and we even made a heating pad (made with a sock and rice).

October 10 – My mom gave me a baby shower with the help from her friends Debbie and Judy. It was also my dad’s birthday. We played a few games, ate cake, fruit, and mints shaped like baby items, and then I opened my gifts. It was a lot of fun and I am glad that most people we invited made it that day.

I am now going every two weeks to see the doctor and everything seems to be going well. The only side effects are backaches, low ion, and a lot of acid.

State Fair and Kicks All Around!!

Jeremiah went with my parents and me to the state fair a couple of weeks ago and it was a lot of fun!! Maybe next year our little girl will be able to go with us if it is not too hot outside. We have decided to name our little girl Christina Ann and our little Christina has been kicking a lot lately. I went to another doctor visit the other day and everything is still going well.

Vacation and Moving!

I was off for 9 days from work last week and my parents, Jeremiah, and I went to the Indiana State Museum and to the Indianapolis Zoo. It was a lot of fun! Jeremiah and I also went to my local fair and his local fair. His fair was a little different than mine, but it was a very cool fair. Then he helped me moved into his house, which we are still working on getting all my things put away. It’s great to finally get to be with him all the time.

On Tuesday July 27, we found out that we are going to have a little girl. Jeremiah, my parents, and Cindy came along for the doctor visit and afterwards we all went out to eat at Red Lobsters. Here is a video of her opening up her mouth.

Looking Good So Far

I had my third doctor appointment on Tuesday the 29th and we got to hear the baby's heart beat again (which Jeremiah put his ear on my stomach and listen for a bit and heard the heart beat that way as well). They said it looks like everything is going pretty well so far and on July 27th we will know if it will be a girl or a boy. Also, tomorrow is our 9th month anniversary!

Our Blessing – Our Little Miracle

The good news that you all have been waiting for is that I am about 12 weeks pregnant! I have been to two doctor visits now and so far everything looks really good with the baby. We have seen the first glimpse of what the baby looks like from the ultra sound and we have heard her/his heart beat at both visits. The baby will be here on December 11, 2010! Also, Jeremiah’s sister is having a baby girl in September and his sister in-law is having a baby next January.

There have been a lot of changes lately. One is that J is finally moved into his brother’s old house and his mom has been helping him decorate. I can’t wait to go over there to see how it looks! I have other news too, but you will have to wait and find out in my next post!!!

Sweet Memories

We have been together for five months today and I remember the time when you asked me for my number and I knew then that you liked me more than just a friend. Then not too long after that we went out on our first date and you took me to a restaurant called Texas Corral in Martinsville and then we watched some of “Disney’s Bedtime Stories” at your house, which was the first gift you ever bought me. I got to spend the holidays not only with my family but with you and your family as well. This included celebrating my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve. You even took me to Christmas Eve mass, since we both had to work so late that evening. And I loved the poem you wrote me, the beautiful blue necklace and the promise ring you gave to me. These are some of the memories that will stay with me forever.

Your family has always been very good to me. The get together at restaurants - Cracker Barrel (where I had my birthday lunch at and later where I first met your sister Mandy and Zeke), Red Lobster (where I first met your sister-in-law Carah, Makena, and Malakai and later when we went on your mom’s birthday), Steak & Shake (where I first met your cousin Jessica), and TGI Friday’s (where we went shopping in Indy with your parents, Lillian and Tyler). Then the time we went to your brother Josh and Carah’s house and ate pizza. Or the time when you took me to see where you use to live and when I took you to see where my grandmother and uncle live. Then there was the time I met your uncles during the times we would sit by the fire outside on those warm nights in the fall. Later I met more of your family on New Year’s Eve (your brother-in-law Dan, your aunt, and more of your cousins) and you met some of my family as well that week.

I also think it is cute when your nephews and nieces say and do the adorable things they do. Like the time Makena wanted to play with me the first time I met her and wasn’t shy at all towards me. Or the time when she wanted to get a picture with me and then was later asked about it and changed her mind because she wanted to play. Or the time when we were barking at Malakai and he said “wolf” or when he called the balloon a “bubble”. Then there was the look on Lillian and Tyler’s face when we brought them a few gifts and how excited they were that we thought of them that day. Just yesterday Zeke called me a “bee” because of my yellow vest that I was wearing and said both “Jeremiah” and “Elisabetbet”. Or the time when he turned off the TV and thought it is very funny when we turned it back on and then he goes and turned it off again.

I hope these memories will never fade, because I know they will be deep in my heart always…
